No Drifting Allowed
It is so hard for me to understand why people have a desire to do something and then don’t put forth the effort to make it happen. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying I am the perfect one. I have been proclaiming that I want to lose some weight and get back in “good” shape since 2007. So what is stopping me? Drifting is no substitute for doing and pushing ahead. It’s up to me to make it happen.
I am proud of my efforts in business and with my Internet Marketing but still need to make myself be successful in other areas…like getting in shape.
I look at people like Oprah and think she is so able to succeed in business and yet struggles with her weight. I can really relate. Not that I have had anywhere near the success in business or anywhere near the struggle with my weight, but I still relate, because it’s the same determination that is required or both.
So many people ask me to show them how to make money on the Internet or with Facebook and I really do try to point them and even lead them in the right direction but they just don’t really put forth the effort.
I read once about a life coach who would give the student a pretty simple couple of tasks to complete before the next session and if they did not complete even the smallest task for whatever reason he discontinued the coaching. Pretty strict!! But it really do sort of understand it more now.
I hosted a Monday Morning MeetUp group for a full year on Blogging, Internet Marketing and Affiliate Marketing. Many Mondays we would have assignments for the upcoming week and most Mondays no one did the assignment. So here is a group of people giving up a couple of hours every Monday to learn about this and still not doing what it takes even when someone was giving them the blueprint for free.
Here is my challenge for you and for me. Find something you really do want and make the
commitment to do what it takes to make it happen.

I agree Candi. But when we put effort into a network marketing company that is not forthright we are like the person who is making good time but driving the wrong way. People need to stay committed and put the continuous effort into the right company. If you’re lied to once you need to leave. When you’re lied to over and over again you need to run, not only leave.
Find a company where people at the top are honest good people, also their finances are good, and they are compliant. At the top of the company that is taking me to my dreams are 10 Execs that have been together in THIS company for 19 yrs. They don’t lie. They have paid on time every week for 19 yrs, and they even have 100 mil in the bank! Now that’s a company that will not only take me to my dreams, but keep me there:) I know of two particular ladies in my company who make well into the 6 figures. Their husbands built their business, died, and their spouse is getting the same weekly residual income checks for over 10 yrs! Is that important to you? It certainly is to me!
Also, it helps to be mentored by someone who is ALREADY making the income you want to make, and not for one month, or even a year, but there should be a track record of many yrs. For example, my upline is making 7 figures now, and was 5 yrs ago, and was making 800K 10 yrs ago when I got involved. Flash in the pan don’t cut it.
Also, find a company that has the right products. Mine has 35 million, so even though I know they have great products for me, they will also have great products for someone else who might not be into the products I’m into. There should be many facets, lines, of different products. The company I am in has health and nutrition (the best in the industry and can prove it), cosmetics (made by mac and bobby brown), skin care (estee lauder), salon care (sebastian and redkin), auto care, pet care, home and garden care, weight mgmt, health professional program, websites for small to med businesses, anti-aging, music, and so much more, so no matter what someones interest is, we have it.
Yes, you are probably thinking….sounds like Larry is trying to recruit me into his business.
If you had the best products, the best company, more people making 6 and 7 figures every yr for 19 yrs, the best comp plan, wouldn’t you tell everyone?
Here’s the bottom line……there has to be a REASON why you are doing what you are doing. Are you involved with a company to make them money, or to help your people and you become wealthy? The company I am in is only a vehicle for me. It’s a vehicle that will take me to my goals and dreams. I work for my family, my goals, and dreams, not for a company. That being said, if you don’t have the best vehicle you are putting your family and people that are following you at risk.
I always tell people……show me a better vehicle to take me and my people to my dreams and I will join you. The best vehicle wins. But if we see that I have a better vehicle step out of your car and get in mine, because which ever one gets us there, and keeps us there (secure) wins.
Yes, no drifting allowed, but first find the right vehicle so you won’t drift:)))
So who’s up to the challenge?
Larry,
You are correct on several counts. Success requires the right vehicle and the right timing.
Somebody made tons of money on white out for typewriters and now that would be a hard sell. So even though it was a great product the timing has to be right.
Always in any business be with people of integrity.
And take advice from those with experience and success…many successes would be even better.
Also know that network marketing is not the only way to make money. I am a strong believer in network marketing. I am also a strong believer in not having all your eggs in one basket. In network marketing they have slide shows and power points explaining multiple streams of income to get the 9 to 5er to try MLM and then once they are in full time they want them to be exclusive and put all their time and effort into that one company…which is not multiple streams.
There may ways to make money. It’s sounds like you have found one. Good for you! Best of success to you
Candi May
Totally agree Candi:)
If you look in my profile you will see that:))))
