John Wooden’s Dies at 99

John Wooden’s funeral was yesterday and I just had to write a little about this and send you some links.  To be honest I did not know who John Wooden was until I started hanging around with Coach Denny Crum.   When I would be in Denny’s office looking at all the trophies and memorabilia there was a lot on his walls about John Wooden.   So because I was so impressed with Denny and the deep down good person that he is I thought, if Denny was inspired by John Wooden it would behoove me to take a closer look.  So I bought the book “Wooden on Leadership”.

John Wooden is known for being a great basketball coach but John Wooden was a leader who helped create other great leaders.  Denny was quoted in the CJ   on the day that Coach Wooden died.   I hope I can live in such a way that the world is a  better place because I lived.  What a great example John Wooden was.
