Google External Keyword Search
If you have been working hard to find what you might sell on the Internet then I guess it’s time to let you know the plan of action once this has been determined. It’s sort of which came first the chicken or the egg. For me I started building my Internet presence before I knew what I would sell or how I would monetize this. This was really backwards and hopefully I can help you avoid some of the pitfalls I encountered. But hey, I absolutely cannot complain, because I closed a great deal today on a new business venture that is a direct result of my blog. PRICELESS! It’s a story I must tell here one day.
The first thing you need to do is go to the Google External Keyword tool and do some more research. https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal This is free and easy to use and you will use it often if you get serious about this.
Here is where I got the cart before the horse. I started my blog with just my name www.CandiMay.com which has turned out to be fine or I guess you could say I made it work, but not many people just go out there and Google “Candi May”. And the whole point is to be found. The Internet is really just a big popularity contest. (Mike Griffin told me that). What website will be clicked the most. The one that has the answers people are looking for.
So that is why I have had you searching Clickbank for what will attract the most visitors. Because what did I tell you about what everyone looks for on the Internet. LOVE, HEALTH, and MONEY! Now it’s time to take that item and pretend you are the one searching and try to determine what you would type in the Google search bar to find a link about your subject.
Let’s just take coffee as an example. Coffee, of course falls under the category of “LOVE”. You’ve heard the expression “coffee lovers” right? If you wanted to sell coffee how do you think people would find you on the Internet. Begin by typing “coffee” in the Google search bar and then hit space and you will get a list of things that people are googling. It will produce a list of things like: Coffee cake, coffee makers, and coffee shops.
Go ahead and click on one like “coffee shop” and you will see that Google says about 49,900,000 people have googled “coffee shop”. So chances are you are going to have a tough time competing with that. Now try “purchase coffee online” then try “purchase gourmet coffee online”. It’s this type of research that will help get you where you need to go.
If you did not know that this will take work then you have not heard me. This will take work and research to do this right. And making money will be tough if you don’t do it right.
Oh by the way a friend of ours actually sells coffee on Amazon.com and he had sales of over 1 million dollars (best when said while holding your pinky to the corner of your lip) last year. Not bad for an Internet business huh? I was amazed and impressed.
Next week we will continue with this keyword search thing. Repetition is key.
Choose your poison and begin the research. Get a notebook and take notes. You will need them later.

I love that Big City coffee!!!
Yeah baby!!
