It seems the question I get asked the second most often (the most often is “What exactly is it that you do?)  is how do you make money with Facebook. Well the most obvious thing is running an ad, which can make you some money but that is not my main source of income from Facebook.

My main source is connections.  Facebook is now calling “fans” connections.  Good choice because that is what it is really all about…Connections.

Everyone on Facebook has a primary “connection” reason for being there.  Connecting with friends, connecting with family, connecting with worthy opponents who play games, getting a date, finding a mate,  or making money.

The questions is why are you on Facebook?  Any answer is good as long as your motives are good. If you are one that is just there to play games then that is great you are having success. If you are there to connect with family and friends great.  I’ve seen more of my friends pictures this year than I have in my whole life.  But if promoting your business or yourself is the objective then you need to treat this seriously.

It is so hard for me to understand why people have a desire to do something and then don’t put forth the effort to make it happen.   Don’t get me wrong.  I’m not saying I am the perfect one.  I have been proclaiming that I want to lose some weight and get back in “good”  shape since 2007.  So what is stopping me?  Drifting is no substitute for doing and pushing ahead. It’s up to me to make it happen.

I am proud of my efforts in business and with my Internet Marketing but still need to make myself be successful in other areas…like getting in shape.

I look at people like Oprah and think she is so able to succeed in business and yet struggles with her weight.  I can really relate.  Not that I have had anywhere near the success in business or anywhere near the struggle with my weight, but I still relate, because it’s the same determination that is required or both.

So many people ask me to show them how to make money on the Internet or with Facebook and I really do try to point them and even lead them in the right direction but they just don’t really put forth the effort.

I read once about a life coach who would give the student a pretty simple couple of tasks to complete before the next session and if they did not complete even the smallest task for whatever reason he discontinued the coaching.  Pretty strict!!  But it really do sort of understand it more now.

I hosted a Monday Morning MeetUp group for a full year on Blogging, Internet Marketing and Affiliate Marketing.  Many Mondays we would have assignments for the upcoming week and most Mondays no one did the assignment.  So here is a group of people giving up a couple of hours every Monday to learn about this and still not doing what it takes even when someone was giving them the blueprint for free.

Here is my challenge for you and for me.  Find something you really do want and make the
commitment to do what it takes to make it happen.

Everything pretty much falls under those three categories.  Think about what you “google”.  Headaches, how to find the perfect mate, how to get your spouse to understand you,  how to teach your children manners, problems sleeping, get out of debt, back pain, shoulder pain, lose weight.

The Internet is a wealth of opportunity and business is booming. Someone is looking to buy something from someone and it might as well be you. It doesn’t really matter if you live in Brazil or Canada, if you are male or female, if you are shy or out going, if you are tech savvy or can barely open an email. What matters is that you have the desire to succeed and are willing to do what is necessary to achieve success.

Now don’t get me wrong this is not an over night thing.  I am not suggesting that you can start today and quit your job tomorrow.  But I am strongly suggesting that you start today…period.  And if you really work at this you soon can quit your job.

But this require hard work and training.  There are no short cuts that I know of.  So are you going to start today or are you going to put this off…again.

For things to change you must do something different.  And it looks to me like the Internet is going to have a pretty good run.

I hope you all had a wonderful July 4th.  I know we did.  The Little Flock  Choir sang some wonderful and moving songs and pastor Rodney preached a great sermon on sacrifice.   We enjoyed a fun time at P.F Chang (very American LOL) with family after church and then after a wonderful Sunday nap we joined Brandon and Amy and the kids for a huge block party complete with Bar B  Que ribs, potato salad, homemade apple pie and fireworks.   Now it doesn’t get anymore American than that.

In my last blog, I told you all I was going to give you the details of my latest venture.  So, okay here goes:)

To some people MLM is a four letter word.  That is really hard for me to understand, especially since it is only three letters…hahaha.  But seriously,  who can argue with leverage of time and money, residual income, geometric growth.

Well some folks try.

I actually do understand them a little.  They have tried network marketing and had no success, or they are too shy or too afraid it won’t work to even give it a try. Or they don’t think it’s a real job.  Or they have been made to believe it is a scam. Or they have heard that only a small percentage succeed. And the list goes on and on.

Everyone that knows me at all, knows that I am a strong believer in Network Marketing and how it has changed me and our financial future and our lifestyle.  I will go into more detail of the whole lifestyle thing in a future blog.

Since June of 2006 I have taken a magnificent Network marketing journey.

Since July of last year 2009 I have embarked on an even greater Internet Marketing journey and now I have found something that successfully combines the two.

Plus just for good measure they have thrown in Global and Viral.
